KNOWEE APP TERMS OF USE – SEYFOR, A. S.

Information on processing personal data in relation to the General Data Protection Regulation – the European Parliament and Council (EU) Directive 2016/679 dating from 27 April 2016

Welcome to the Microsoft Teams Knowee app from Seyfor, a.s. We ask that you carefully read and study these Terms of Use prior to launching the app and prior to using it.

These Terms of Use represent an agreement between our company, Seyfor, a.s., and you, which relates to the non-exclusive use of the Knowee app and its content. By using Knowee app, you confirm that you have read and understood the Terms of Use, and your agreement thereto. Should you not agree with these Terms of Use, you cannot run the Knowee app or use its content.

Seyfor, a.s., can change and edit the content of these Terms of Use. All changes go into effect at the time they are published on this website and therefore you should regularly review these Terms of Use.

1. Knowee App Description

Seyfor, a.s., provides the Knowee as internet web service, in which Seyfor, a.s., publishes online courses (technologies), user cases, guides, and videos.

Seyfor, a.s. provides users access to the app in the agreed scope and only for their personal use without limits on the number of views for content, i.e. individual courses, guides, videos, etc.

2. Use of Knowee App

All information provided in the Knowee app serves solely for general informational and educational purposes. Your access to information and use of information included in this app is subject to these Terms of Use. You agree to use this app in accordance with legal norms and refrain from actions that would damage or impact the application, that would limit access to it, that would limit or impair its functioning, or that would prevent or render the use of the app by other users more difficult. Namely, you are not authorized to exceed the technical limitations of the Knowee app or carry out reverse analysis of the Knowee app, recompile it, or convert from machine code.

In the event of breach of said limitations, Seyfor, a.s., is authorized to demand compensation for all damages caused thereby, and it can immediately terminate your access to the Knowee app and its content.

The Alenka app is not available for general sale. It is issued solely based on an exclusive user license. These Terms of Use give you only certain rights for use of the Alenka app and its content. Seyfor, a.s., reserves all other rights.

3. Content

Seyfor, a.s., will make maximum effort to ensure that the Knowee app content is correct and up-to-date. Nonetheless, Seyfor, a.s., does not provide any guarantee or assurance of any kind relating to the Knowee app’s content. Mainly, it does not guarantee the correctness, validity, or completeness of content. By using the Knowee app, you agree that your use of the app and its content is at your own risk. Most of all, we also warn that any guides, videos, and use cases forming part of the content can over time become dated (obsolete) as a result of new updates made by Microsoft. Seyfor, a.s., will make maximum effort to ensure content is up-to-date; however, it does not bear liability should any damages arise based on outdated information in the application.

In case of damages for which Seyfor, a.s., is liable, per the terms of this agreement, said damages are limited to only a maximum amount of 1,000 CZK per individual user. In no case do you have the right to compensation for any other damages, including resulting damages, loss of earnings, or special indirect or accidental damages. This limitation does not apply to damages resulting from intentional or gross neglect.

4. Use of Content

Only users with a valid license for the application can use Knowee app content. Content for the Seyfor, a.s., application is protected in accordance with legal norms relating to copyrights and other laws pertaining to intellectual property. Seyfor, a.s., is the exclusive bearer of said rights. Misuse or abuse of content is considered breach of those rights. You can view, download, and print application content for personal use only. Knowee app users are not allowed to:

  • share Knowee app content;
  • sell or rent or otherwise provide access to content to third parties, including your company’s external partners;
  • publish Knowee app content;
  • disseminate such content;
  • edit or otherwise change application content created by Seyfor, a.s.;
  • distribute app content;
  • transfer licensing rights to a third party.

In the event of breach of said limitations, Seyfor, a.s., is authorized to demand compensation for all damages caused thereby, and it can immediately terminate your access to the Knowee app and its content.

5. Privacy

Seyfor, a.s., respects the privacy of users of the application. Please read Seyfor, a.s. rules for Privacy Protection. The rules explain user rights and obligations and when we can use personal data in relation to your use of this application.

Seyfor, a.s., respects Google users' privacy. Only the user name and e-mail address is used. This data is used for user authentication and identification for the app's needs. This data is stored in the Knowee application database. We do not share the data with any other parties.

6. Applicable Law and Separability

This agreement is subject to Czech law. All disputes related to this agreement and usage of the Knowee application, including its content, are to be decided by Czech courts. Meanwhile, the relevant Czech court for Seyfor, a.s., is the general court.

If any of the provisions in this agreement are, or should become, invalid or ineffective, this does not impact or change the other provisions of this agreement. Contracting parties agree to replace such provisions with new ones that, to the maximum degree possible, fulfill the same business, legal, and commercial objectives as the original provisions. The same applies should eventual shortcomings in the agreement arise.

7. Seyfor, a.s., Company Data

Seyfor, a.s., (Org. ID No.: 01572377, Registration record: B 7072, administered by the Regional Court in Brno; Headquarters: Drobného 49, 602 00 Brno,), is the operator of the Knowee app.
